Rudolf é um dos pioneiros da época lendária dos clubes internacionais, tendo aberto sua primeira boate em Berlim em 1970, sendo mais tarde Diretor de Promoções do mítico Studio 54, na época áurea da Disco Music. Nos anos 1980 foi proprietário de um outro clube icônico em NY, chamado Danceteria (e que deu origem à palavra no mundo inteiro), por todos considerado como o Templo da Música New Wave, onde aconteceram os 5 primeiros shows de estreia da Madonna.
Em 1985, Rudolf projetou parcialmente e depois dirigiu o Palladium, o maior clube jamais construído, com capacidade para mais de 10.000 pessoas, seguido mais tarde de um outro lugar famoso, chamado Tunnel (1986), ambos localizados em NY.
Em 1990 ele abriu o primeiro supper-club da nova geração, chamado Tatou, com filiais em NY, Aspen e Beverly Hills, que tiveram como habitués os maiores atores e performers da época. Mudando-se para Paris em 1994, lá participou de promoções no Queen, Bains Douches, Bataclan, Cercle Ledoyen e muitos outros lugares.
Em Miami, a partir do ano 2000, foi consultor de vários projetos na área hoteleira, além de dirigir o megaclube BillboardLive, de 20 milhões de dólares .
Sendo sócio da Lotus em New York, Rudolf foi o responsável, em 2004, junto com Gutti Camargo, pelo licenciamento, design e implantação das Lotus São Paulo, Campos do Jordão, Salvador, e outras localidades .
Tendo obtido o licenciamento da marca Buddha Bar no Brasil, ele ergueu este famoso point de luxo internacional na Villa Daslu, em 2007.
Depois disso, foi engajado no design e implantação da Mokai (originalmente de Miami) e da Kiss and Fly (de NY), ambas em São Paulo. A partir daí, esteve envolvido no desenvolvimento de mais 14 clubes Kiss and Fly nas principais cidades do país. Também esteve a cargo do design e implantação da versão paulista e mineira da Provocateur, licenciada de New York. Após concluir a decoração do clube Outlaws, de Marcus Buaiz e Luan Santana, em SP, um artigo da revista VEJA o considerou como “um dos maiores designers de clubes do mundo.”
Mais recentemente, concluiu o design do novo Café de Le Musique, de São Paulo, seu principal projeto após a inauguração do Banana Café, também de Sampa, outro local mencionado com distinção pela revista Veja.
Atualmente, entre outros empreendimentos, completou o Club 300 e os restaurantes Urus Steakgarden e Vicky Barcelona, todos em SP, além de participar na implementação do show imersivo 3D sobre Leonardo Da Vinci, em Berlim.

Rudolf is best known as a dynamic member of the select group of professionals that pioneered the international club business. He opened his first venue in Berlin in 1970, and later worked as promotion director at the legendary Studio 54 in the late 1970′s. After that, he opened in New York an extremely avant club called Danceteria (where the generic word came from), which was the undisputed temple of the New Wave sound. Most bands and DJ’s of that musical genre had their first appearance at Danceteria, and Madonna staged the first 3 shows of her career there.
Rudolf was also in the planning team and then became director of the Palladium, the largest club in the World at the time, with a capacity of 10,000 people. Moving on, he designed and opened the Tunnel in 1986, and Mars in 1989, both clubs now being part of NY’s nightlife iconography.
In the 1990′s he opened Tatou, in NY, Beverly Hills and Aspen, a pioneer restaurant-lounge-supper club, that became a magnet for jet-setters and celebrities of that era. Moving to Paris in 1994, Rudolf worked on promotion at the ‘Bains Douches’, ‘Queen’, and ‘Cercle Ledoyen’, among other places.
In the early 2000′s, Rudolf organized several major projects in South Beach, Miami, New York and South America, acting as a consultant on several hospitality projects and hosting major events. Along all these years in the industry, he had the opportunity to eventually work in close collaboration with famous architects, like Arata Isosaki, David Rockwell, Jeffrey Beers and Phillipe Starck, among others.
Since 2004 he is based in São Paulo, Brazil, where he was involved in the design and implementation of a series of Lotus clubs (originally from NY, where he was also a partner) in several cities.
In 2007, he licensed, designed and operated the Brazilian branch of Buddha Bar, as well as Mokai, from Miami. After that, he created the concept and décor of Kiss and Fly in São Paulo, which he licensed from NY. He then supervised the design and décor of several branches of Kiss and Fly all over Brazil, which, for a while, became the largest chain of nightclubs in the country.
In 2012 he designed some of the Brazilian branches of Provocateur, originally from NY, and was considered by VEJA magazine as “one of the foremost club designers in the World.”
Later on, he designed the new version of the Banana Café, in São Paulo and then inaugurated the new Café de la Musique, also in SP.
Nowadays, amongst other projects, Rudolf implemented the Club 300 in SP, as well as the Urus Steakgarden and Vicky Barcelona Restaurant, both also in São Paulo. In early 2022 he was part of the planning team for the immersive 3D show for Leonardo da Vinci in Berlin
